For this project, I worked collaboratively with other artists and web designers in order to create a compelling number of illustrative posters for the webinar series.

The work was split equally between me and a fellow artist, Sara Mizannojehdehi, as we split our work based on the themes of each webinar and combined a unique blend of our separate art styles. As her art is experimental and fluid while my style is more evidentially digital and sharper, we combined our portions of the posters to represent both traditional and digital forms of storytelling. We chose to have two different silhouettes explore these different environments as a visualization of a viewer experiencing these different "worlds" of the art, while also mirroring one another.

For my work, I always began with drawing the silhouettes, as it helps me plan the scene's flow around them. Afterwards, I develop the surrounding scenes, which changes based on the subject matter. Colour schemes were usually decided upfront between Sara and I, alternating between light, middle or dark shades of a red and blue colour palette. Certain elements of the poster would consistently reappear throughout the series as recurring themes. We had designed our posters to have a storyline of their own-the silhouette avatars were exploring all of these webinars as they were separate dimensions, but some elements remained the same.

Negotiating Digital Space was a webinar series that ran from June 16, 2022 to July 28, 2022.

Attendees could listen and interact with various speakers from both academia and industry about their perspectives and experience with how media and digital technologies impact various roles of storytellers and storytelling techniques.

Currently, the webinar series is being transcribed into published format and will be available at a later date.

While the webinar itself has ended, the book transcript is currently being developed. The book design and layouts were created by fellow artist Sara and I, now being refined to print.
